Businesses are overwhelmed with data; it’s a blessing and a curse. A curse because it can overwhelm traditional approaches to storing and processing it. A blessing because the data promises business insight that never existed earlier. The industry has spawned a new term, “big data,” to describe it. Now, IT itself is overwhelmed with its own big data. In the press to roll out new services and technologies—mobility, cloud, virtualization—applications, networks, and physical and virtual servers grow in a sprawl. With them comes an unprecedented volume of data such as logs, events, and flows. It takes too much time and resources to sift through it, so most of it lies unexplored and unexploited. Yet like business data, it contains insight that can help us solve problems, make decisions, and plan for the future.

Monetate Intelligent Recommendations is the only solution that gives merchandisers & digital marketers the power to show contextually relevant product recommendations without burdening IT resources.
Using manually curated or algorithmically-driven recommendations, marketers can easily support even the most complex product catalogs. Our solution filters recommendations based on customer attributes (e.g. shirt size), longitudinal behaviours (e.g. browsing behaviour), and situational context (e.g. product inventory at local stores). Best of all, an orchestration layer intelligently selects which algorithms and which filters to apply in any given situation, for any particular individual.
Imagine a world where incident alerts arrive 30 minutes before problems even begin — you’d actually have the power to prevent outages and deliver a truly seamless experience to your customers. Sound impossible? Think again — the right AIOps (Artificial Intelligence for IT Operations) solution can help you maintain uptime, reduce manual incident-management tasks and increase productivity.
IT organizations are now responsible for delivering seamless customer experiences while preventing outages and managing an increasing number of systems. With growing responsibility placed on IT, there is an opportunity to drive strategy for company-wide business processes and operations.
Companies using machine data powered platforms like Splunk collect disparate data types to quickly troubleshoot and monitor systems. By adding predictive capabilities, IT can glean critical insights for the business and develop strategic initiatives on issues that matter.

Protect the network, use the network to protect students
Your schools use a growing amount of networked information and devices as an essential part of teaching and administration. Research on the Internet, laptops in class, distance learning, and online homework are some of the official technologies that your students use.
Unofficially, this list extends to mobile phones (with cameras), digital music and video players, blogs, instant messaging, social networking sites, and networked or online gaming. Behind the scenes are databases with student information, class schedules, attendance records, copies of exams and answers, financial transactions, and even video surveillance. All of these rely on a robust and secure network infrastructure.

People control their own consumer journeys. Consumers expect a borderless world in which they roam freely between a brand’s social media channels, email campaigns, blogs and e-commerce site, effortlessly buying things that catch their eye. It’s led to a sporadic, personalized shopping journey that frequently begins on digital touchpoints that weren’t built for commerce.
That’s made it increasingly complex for brands hoping to meet customers’ needs and measure the results of their marketing strategies.
At the center of this new customer-driven revolution is visual content. Images and videos play starring roles in the decisionmaking process, and provide consumers with a whole new level of inspiration and knowledge. Every picture and video clip is now the entrance to a digital storefront, meaning brands can use them to drive not only engagement but revenue.
